Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move Story
Surprisingly, The Mario and Donkey Kong ROM gameplay is very similar to Pipe Mania. Minus the sludge, of course. In this 3DS ROM for Citra, your challenge is placing tiles on the bottom screen.
In the main game of Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, you have to place blocks on the grid in order to make a path for the Mini, a robot that resembles Mario or another character from the Mario series. As a result, this path will allow the Mini to travel from a warp pipe to the ultimate goal – a star.
Of course, you’ll need to do all this while avoiding obstacles like Shy Guys and spike pits along the way. With all those keys, conveyor belts, traps, and twisting tiles coming your way, it’s quite easy to find yourself in a pickle.
You can also complete the additional task, collecting three colored coins on the already-created path. This task in itself might require some additional tasks, like closing the Mini inside a figure-eight loop.
On top of that, you can also tap the mini, giving it a burst of speed. If your mini gets blocked, falls off the pathway, stays in the pipe 30 seconds too long, and if too many pieces fill up the pipe, or even if the timer runs out, you fail the level.
By collecting all three coins for a level, you earn a star token. In turn, this unlocks additional levels, gameplay modes, and toys.

Levels and Modes

If you’d like to take a break from the main game, you can try your hand at the 3DS ROM’s level creation mode. Here, you can create custom levels by using pieces from the main game. Additionally, you can control the frequency of the falling tiles available. How great is that?
How to Play Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move
You can play the Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move 3DS ROM on your PC or Nintendo 3DS. Both versions will run just fine, of course. The game for Citra has no audio or graphical issues, and it will run full speed without a hitch.
Although the 3DS ROM is great fun, it can also be quite frustrating at times. For instance, you’re always either one tile away from winning the level, or one tile away from utter doom just because the right tile didn’t show up. Sort of like the Tetris equivalent of waiting for the long block. Except in this 3DS ROM, you get lucky and get the right tile or it’s Game Over.
In light of these frustrations, we’ve gathered some important info and tips to help you have the best possible experience while playing Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move.
